Mercado Ottensen

The Mercado shopping center in Ottensen is not a classical one (simply not big enough for a "mall"). But therefore it allows to offer something that other shopping center sometimes can not provide per se: The Mercado shopping center is well-arranged and less hectic.

What to buy in the "Mercado"

Mercado OttensenThe product range is settled in the mid-range level (Göerz shoes, H & M, New Yorker, Intersport, pet shop, perfumes, foods, etc.). However, the range offers more than initially expected due to the size of the shopping center. This is mainly due to the "side streets" leading from the center of the shopping center to the outside.

Here, a lot of smaller shops are located. The center is dominated by a small market (hence the name 'Mercado'). It features flowers, cheese, vegetables and fruit, wine and beer, candy and much more.

Around the corner

What can make a visit to the Mercado in Ottensen attractive and most importantly is its environment: The Mercado is located in the main street of Ottensen (Ottenser Hauptsrtraße). Ottensen is a district which is very lively.

Especially younger people and families with children live there. The area around the shopping center Mercado offers many shops and small cafes and bars.

Another plus is the many actions in the Mercado in Ottensen: Actually, there is always given some theme-related or time-related promotion.
